Hello sir.... I m surendra and I m 54 years old.... I m suffering from intolerable lower back pain Here is my MRI report... I request you to please tell me what is it and what should I do now * Diffuse annular bulge with posterocentral protrusion L3/L4 disc causing thecal sac compression and moderate bilateral foraminal narrowing. * Broad - based left paracentral protrusion superadded on diffuse annular bulge L4/L5 disc causing thecal sac indentation with mild right and moderate left foraminal stenosis. Thank you .
Hello , thank you for your question . Your mri report says that you have lumbar heriated discs between L3-L4 vertebra and L4-L5 vertebra. If you were my patient , i would suggest you to try first conservative treatment . You will find lumbar support belt very beneficial . Physiotherapy could also help you .I have found extensions to be most helpfull physiotherapy . Nerve blockade with lidocain/novocaine relieves pain ,when in crisis. Dont suggest you to take regularly oral analgesics . You have to excercise to strenghten your back and lhmbar muscles . There is also operative treatment for lumbar hernia , which in turn has it's own negatives . There is a certain risk of paralysis of the legs . Recurent hernia is anothet negative . Hope i have helped you . Best regards !
